In a thrilling match, Ryan Day displayed his prowess by finishing with a century break of 112 to secure a 4-2 victory over Stan Moody in the third round. The Welshman’s stellar performance, including two century breaks, proved to be the deciding factor against his 17-year-old opponent, ending Moody’s run in Riyadh.

After some impressive positional shots, Day faced a challenging situation as he failed to land topside of the blue. However, he managed to pot a mid-distance red and smoothly landed on the black to set up what could be the decisive shot of the match.

As Moody attempted to mount a comeback in the sixth frame, a poor safety shot left Day with an opportunity to capitalize. Despite losing control of the cue ball, Day showcased his skill with a phenomenal pot on the black, putting him in a favorable position to close out the match.

With Moody establishing a 51-point lead and 43 points remaining, Day was forced to play for snookers. However, a brilliant long pot ended his efforts, bringing the score to 3-2 in favor of Day.

Both players showed skill in attempting tricky pots, but it was Day who managed to secure the frame with a shot to nothing. As the remaining reds clustered on the top cushion, the pressure was on for both competitors.

Moody’s safety shot missed the mark, giving Day an opportunity that he ultimately failed to capitalize on. This mistake allowed Moody to clinch the fifth frame and keep the match alive.

Stay tuned for more exciting action from the Saudi Arabia Masters as the competition heats up.
